Encouraging your attendees to be security conscious
Safety and security are likely to be top of many event attendees’ minds. Providing the attendees with information about how they can be security conscious can help you to run a safe event but will also help assure them that the event organiser is taking their safety seriously.

Including information at the ticketing stage, through emails leading up to the event and with clear signage at the event are all great ways to talk about safety. For example, if you have an event with bag checks, you can have one line for those attendees without a bag to enter faster and could be communicated right through the ticket buying stage, encouraging attendees not to bring bags. You could also ensure that important emergency procedures are clear throughout the event.
We recommend working with your event partners to help communicate your safety and security messages. For example, you can work with your ticketing partner, council and/or your venue to support this.
